Five years ago, Eastern Kentucky entered into an extensive $27 million ESPC, the largest such contract in state history at the time. This past fiscal year alone, EKU realized approximately $3.2 million in utility cost and operational savings at baseline rates (the rates at the time the contract was signed). That figure jumps to $4.2 million at current rates. The utility budget for EKU has remained flat during this time period despite the addition of several new campus buildings.

The Kentucky ESC Chapter is providing speakers for an upcoming ADDS Water District meetings on the subject of ESPC for Water and Waste Water Treatment Facilities. The Chapter is also working to provide speakers for the Barren River Area Development District on December 11 and the KIPDA Meeting on January 8th.
