Alabama Chapter
2008 Alabama Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Conference
October 22, 2008 -- 8:30am - 2:30pm
Marriott Prattville at Capitol Hill - Prattville, AL
As facility owners, building managers, state agencies, K12, Higher Ed
and local Government professionals, you have been challenged with
looking for solutions to mitigate energy costs. This conference is
designed to get you on your way to finding solutions. Depending on where
your organization is on the "seeking solutions spectrum", and based on
the needs of your facilities, your solutions could be as basic as Energy
Efficiency Measures, or they might include On-Site Renewables, Water
Conservation Measures, or meeting the objective of achieving LEED
certification status. The motivation may come from the belief that it is
time to conserve our natural resources or to assist in addressing our
energy security imperative.
The Alabama Energy Services Coalition (ESC) will show you many paths
to sustainability and share with you a number of case studies that
showcase winning strategies from organizations that dared to commit to
achieving energy efficiency and sustainability goals using the energy
savings performance contract (ESPC) approach.
It starts by calculating the risks your organization faces, and
weighing the cost of delaying decisions to enable energy efficiency and
facility improvements to be achieved simultaneously through ESPC. It
includes a process to address those risks, and even better…to take
advantage of opportunities that save money and help your organization
meet energy cost reduction, energy efficiency and sustainability goals.
