Rebuild America

The Energy Services Coalition is a Rebuild America Strategic Partner. Strategic Partners provide the capacity to increase the achievement of the goals of the Rebuild America Program and develop an annual plan for coordinating their activities with Rebuild America to increase these achievements. The Energy Services Coalition became a Strategic Partner in September 2000 to support the achievements of Rebuild America. Click here for a list of other Rebuild America Strategic Partners.

Rebuild America is a program of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) that focuses on energy solutions as community solutions. Rebuild America "partners" with small towns, large metropolitan areas, and Native American tribes, creating a large network of peers. Rebuild America supports communities with access to DOE regional offices, state energy offices, national laboratories, utilities, colleges and universities, and nonprofit agencies.

This network of partnerships can help your community be more environmentally and economically sound through smarter energy use in buildings. Rebuild America helps communities identify problems, prioritize them, and help solve them.

Rebuild America helps communities:

  • Reduce energy expenditures
  • Retrofit existing buildings
  • Build new facilities
  • Preserve and upgrade historic buildings
  • Stimulate economic development
  • Provide energy efficient affordable housing.

Rebuild America addresses: K-12 Schools, State and Local Government Buildings, Multi-Family Housing, and Commercial Buildings.

Rebuild America also manages a comprehensive K-12 Schools program for DOE called Energy Smart Schools. For more information click here
