John Knisley

John is the Director of PM&E at Hodge Engineering Company. Hodge is currently finishing design on a $20 Million Tennessee Board of Regents Performance Contract and is currently negotiating for an additional $20 Million. John’s company has won numerous awards for energy conservation including an award from the American Society of Heating and Refrigeration Engineers (ASHRAE) for installation of an ice storage cooling system, and other ECM’s in Central Baptist Church of Bearden, TN. Another project that John is quite proud of is the Daniel Boone High School project. This geo thermal project was awarded the Energy Engineers Conservation Project of the Year for the Southeastern United States for savings in excess of $125,000.00 per year. John earned a B.A. from Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. He also served in the U.S. Armed Forces from 1966 – 1970 as an Intelligence Officer and was a First Lieutenant upon discharge. John’s professional affiliations include being a member of the Energy Services Coalition since 2003, Association of Tennessee Valley Governments, ASHRAE, Technical auditor for Green Building Council, and on the board of directors of Tennessee Chapter of ESC.
