Mrs. Courtney has a strong background in sales and marketing. With a successful career of 20 years with Honeywell Inc., Space & Aviation Division and Home and Building Controls. Prior to leaving Honeywell in 1999, she sold the largest energy conservation program in the Southeast. With an opportunity to use her leadership skills, she accepted a Business Development role with Stones River Companies in 1999 where she was tasked with growing the lighting design division. In 2008, she pursued a new business opportunity with Energy Focus a leading LED and Fiber Optic Company.  Once on board, she participated in the Energy Focus acquisition process where they acquired Stones River Companies in 2009.  In her current position as the Solutions Executive, she continues to focus on expanding the energy efficient lighting business on a national basis.  Her success over the past ten years contributed to well over $55M in energy efficient lighting design and delivery.
 
In 2000, with the support of the state, Mrs. Courtney founded the Tennessee Energy Services Coalition Chapter, she participates in many ESC state chapters, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the past two years Mrs. Courtney led the education team in developing a series of educational webinars.  Most currently she was voted as President of the Energy Services Coalition Board.
