Joel Asrael Joel Asrael is the Manager of the Commercial Buildings program at the Governor’s Energy Office. He has a masters in Mechanical Engineering, is a Certified Energy Manager, is LEED Accredited, and has over 10 years experience with Energy Conservation and Performance Contracting. Presently he is the CO Public Sector Co-Chair and National Board of Directors of the Energy Services Coalition, Founder of the CO Energy Strategy Group, Member of the CO USGBC Green Schools Core Committee and Real Estate Initiative. At the Governor’s Energy Office, his responsibilities include developing and co-managing the Commercial Building Programs; including the Energy Performance Contracting Program, the Main Street Energy Initiative, and the K-12 Programs. This includes provide outreach, education, and technical support to school districts, local governments, state agencies and institutions of higher education. The majority of Mr. Asrael’s career has been working for Energy Service Companies either performing technical energy audits or developing performance contracting for a variety of vertical markets. He has been directly involved with over $100,000,000 in energy conservation measures. |
